Water first appeared in the Kirby anime episode, "Air Ride in Style". It did not make an official appearance until Kirby's Return to Dream Land. The anime appearance differs from that of the game. Anime!Water Kirby's hat resembled a wave(like in this drawing), and his skin turned into blue jelly, while Game!Water Kirby's hat resembled more of a "pillar" of water, and his skin remained unaffected.
